1953 FWD (FOUR WHEEL DRIVE)

Engine 5 was equipped with a 500 gallon tank and 500 gpm Waterous pump.  This unit was purchased for $14500. Members of the fire company including Fire Chief Joseph Herbert, Richard Warfield, William McElwain, and John Hope Anderson raised the money for the new engine on the game show “Strike It Rich”.
