Dedicated to TOM HICKS Written by Rose Hare
He was not just a co-worker, but a friend to all of us. The kind of friend who was not afraid to share his knowledge and experience so that we all might benefit.
The kind of friend that always took that extra step to assure the job got done. He was continually first in line to accept a new challenge, to gain more wisdom and to coordinate new ideas. We cannot forget that special part of Tom that made him the big brother, the shoulder to lean on - to cry on. Always willing to listen: forever willing to help. Just say the word and he was there. “NO” was not in his vocabulary. He kept our morale high with his practical jokes. We all had to be initiated. He would get you sooner of later. There was no escape. He was a kid at heart. He gave his life volunteering to help others. That is unequivocally the type of person he was. Our hearts are hollow, for we desperately miss him. Things seem to be without meaning. We are dazed and filled with desolation. The essence of his kindred spirit remains. He is now our protecting angel.
This is truly a great loss. We all cherished his friendship, and our lives are enriched having known him.
WE LOVE YOU TOM.
