NO JERKINGNo part of the tractor may interfere with the sled or the sled hitch during the pull.  The First Puller in a class is to be the test puller for the sled settings.  As long as the Sled Operator is satisfied that the sled is set OK for the class that pull will be official.  Only if the sled must be reset will the First Puller will drop to the third position and re-pull.

TRACTION DEVICES: All types of rubber tires (solid, pneumatic, radial) are permitted. No tire chains will be permitted.

If you have any questions about anything, please ask the Track Officials. FGOTD wants everything clearly understood in order to avoid the possibility of disputes after the pull starts. In the event of a deadlocked dispute, the final decision lies with the Pulling Committee. Their decision will stand and is not open to appeal.

FAWN GROVE OLDE TYME DAYS
ANTIQUE TRACTOR PULL RULES

This pull, as part of the engine and machinery show, is conducted to demonstrate the pulling ability of these old tractors and for entertainment of spectators. We expect this to be a friendly competition and anticipate that all owners and operators will maintain that attitude at all times. We feel the following conditions are liberal and fair.

Ribbons will be awarded to the top three places in each class. There will be a $5.00 per tractor charge to pull at this event. All people wishing to participate in the tractor pull are required to have their tractors displayed on the grounds, and registered for the show by 2:00 PM on Saturday during the show.

CLASSES: All tractors must be 1960 model year or older and will be grouped according to the weight of the tractor and operator. The weight classes for this event will be as follows: 2500, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000, 7000, 8000, and 10,000 pounds. Each tractor may only pull one time, must be weighed before its respective class begins, and not be over the weight of the class. After crossing the scale, the operator of each tractor will be handed a card with the weight written on it, the operator should then write his/her name, town, year, model, and make on the card to be turned in as you hook the sled. All weights must be securely attached to the tractor, any coming off during the pull, will result in disqualification. The show committee will decide any dispute with classes.

ENGINES: The engines must be stock. We realize that with the age of these tractors many of these engines will be over-bored. We rely on the integrity of the participants. No governor strings or wires will be permitted. Tractors have to operate under governor power and the governor must be set as close to factory specifications as possible.

HITCHIES: The hitch on the tractors must be the factory installed hitch, or as close as possible to keep the pull fair to all participants. The hitch must not be over 20 inches from the ground. The pull committee will evaluate any hitch in question by the sled operators. A 3-inch clevis or similar pulling ring will be needed to hook to the sled. In the event the participant doesn't have one, OLDE TYME DAYS will have one available to use.

DRlVERS: All Drivers must be at least 14 years of age, as stated in the SHOW POLICY. Young drivers may be required to provide proof of age or parents consent. All Drivers will remain in a seated position during the entire pull.

SAFETY: The Head Flagman will determine when the condition is safe to start the pull with the waving of a GREEN flag. He will also determine when the condition is unsafe and will wave a RED flag letting the puller to STOP immediately. The Flag man’s decision is final. Only Track Officials are permitted on the track after a tractor starts to pull.

Before hooking a tractor to the sled, the tractor must be in neutral and the driver’s hands must be in the air. The driver is to remain in this position until the person hooking the sled indicates that hookup is complete. (Allowances will be made for tractors with hand clutches and hand brakes, allowing the driver to use one hand).

PULLING: All pulls are to be started from a tight hitch. NO JERKING!! No part of the tractor may interfere with the sled or the sled hitch during the pull. The first puller in each class is to be the test puller for the sled settings. As long as the sled operator is satisfied that the sled is set ok for the class that pull will be official. Only if the sled must be reset will the first puller drop to the third position and re-pull. Any tractor pulling less than 50 feet may return to the starting line for a second try. The restart is final.

TRACTION DEVICES: All types of rubber tires (solid, pneumatic, radial) as well as steel wheels are permitted. Tracked and four wheel drive vehicles will be placed in their own classes.  No tire chains will be permitted.

If you have any questions about anything, please ask the Track Officials. FGOTD wants everything clearly understood in order to avoid the possibility of disputes after the pull starts.
